Jabdoo
What's the best solution (if any) for carrying a kayak on a Moon roof equipped 2016 Edge?
WingNut
You can do some searching to see what others have done. I have the Yakima Q-Towers on my 2016 Edge (No moonroof) and it works great. Some people with moonroofs have asked this question before and I've provided pictures with height measurements. A little searching and you should find the info. ed4pbay
It's an old thread, but I'm adding this for anyone trying to research an answer. I've used Yakima Corebars for a naked roof, Yakima and Thule saddles and a Reese Canoe loader I modified with Huly Rollers. The Canoe loader attaches to an aftermarket Eckhart trailer hitch that doesn't negate the foot sensor liftgate. You have to be careful not to trip the sensor while working around the back. My fiberglass Sea kayak is 18.3 ft. long and around 65 lbs heavy. I drive about an hour at 60-65 mph on the Frwy. to my favorite parking spot. The hardest part for this senior citizen is getting the kayak on and off the car by myself. Telescoping the Reese canoe loader up and down helps. I barely have enough room to store my boat at home, wish I had the storage room and money for a Yakima Rack and Roll. You do what you can!
