Jbob0124
Hello all, looking to upgrade my current audio package. I have a basic 2016 Edge SEL, SYNC with the 4.2" screen. I am thinking of modifying the panel to fit a larger after market head unit and remove the current head unit / screen. Does anyone know how intertwined the SYNC system is? I'd hate to remove the OEM part just to find out the rest of the car doesn't work.
Deanf
Metra makes an aftermarket installation harness. Give Crutchfield a call. They can explain the options you have ans what functionality you will lose, if any.
enigma-2
Believe that you will find the following site has a lot of information and harnesses to convert to aftermarket head unit. http://www.installer.com/cars/by_car.php?carid=7966 Edited August 14, 2017 by enigma-
Jbob0124
Thanks for the info. Looking at installer.com doesn't show me much other then the $1500 conversion kit. Think I will have to pass on that one. Will have to give crutchfield a call. Thanks again.
