kaprellj
Can anyone tell me if, or what sort of special tool is available to remove the tubing connections from the oil cooler bypass valve on a 2007 ford edge? There is practically no room to work with here. A 19mm wrench fits but is very difficult to use given the tight area.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Transmission fluid cooler? Requires a special tool, IIRC. This is probably what you need https://www.amazon.com/Lisle-39660-Transmission-Cooler-Scissor/dp/B005MVBENO/
macbwt
That part is called a Transmission Fluid Thermal Bypass Valve.
macbwt
Did you remove the air intake, battery and battery tray etc.. This usually provide much more real estate for working on this area of the transmission.
