PSUzak
A ticking tone noise has been coming on when we start the edge recently. It has the same noise of pushing one of the hvac buttons under the sync screen. It makes the noise for about 30 seconds then stops. It also makes the noise when driving on the highway and have the a/c on at level 3 or 4. When the noise starts the blower reduces down to level 1. I can make the noise stop by pushing the temp + button for the drivers climate control. The noise comes out of the speakers. We have a 2011 edge limited with sync and dual climate control. Here is the link to the noise on my YouTube channel.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Blend door actuator? Though it shouldn't be coming out of the speakers ... How old is the battery in your Edge? Might want to consider getting it replaced if the CCAs are low. Bad batteries cause a lot of electrical issues that are seemingly unrelated. PSUzak
Battery is about a year old. I tried to clean the surface of all the buttons to see if there was gunk that would act like it was touching the - climate control
