Dblount31
Hello, I own a 2011 ford edge sport and I bought it last January of 2016. In recent months, my screen has been randomly going completely black for up to several days at a time. From what I've read, it seems to be a bad apim module. I went to my ford dealer and they said that my warranty has ran out for the extended coverage of that part, coincidently the same month that I bought the suv. They want to charge me 1200 just to get the screen back. That is absurd to me. Do I have any other option at all? Have any of you dealt with this? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. Dblount31
I hadn't realized that it posted several times. If that's a problem for you, perhaps you you can post the same thing on every one of them? Thanks
enigma-2
Others have expirmented by opening the radio and cleaning the connections with good results. The easiest fix is to just by a used unit on ebay. Here's one for $380. http://www.ebay.com/itm/263055912668
