ezndo
Sorry for the crappy pics, will take better shots when I replace some of the clamps with shrink wrap. This is the generic kit from RX Speed Works. Tommy Thomsen answered all of my many questions concerning the install, given the provided instructions were not Edge specific. It took me a while to route the hoses under the engine cover as I wanted a clean install. I think I mounted the can in the only available vertical real estate, hope it works out OK.
lildisco
Congrats! How long has it been installed? It took mine about 3-4 weeks to catch enough to drain, (had a few drops come out prior). We also don't drive a lot, so your collection time may be shorter. My throttle body, intake manifold, intake valves thank me. I already had oil accumulation in the intake & throttle body with 12,000 miles. I 'believe' that i was the first 2.0 Edge to do this & post up installation pics & what not, glad to see others following suit! Here's my 2.0 Ecoboost FWD installation & few follow ups: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/22063-oil-catch-can-on-the-20l-ecoboost/page-2 Edited May 31, 2017 by lildisco
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
x2! Glad to see the catchcan installed, especially on the 2.0. Prev gen 2.0, should also, but probably too late now LOL.
lildisco
Well, the OP is a sport, 2.7L, I'm a 2.0L. I'm interested in how much he catches & how bad blow by is on the 2.7.
Nick Halstead
I assume this is a dual valve setup
ezndo
Yup, 2 valve system. I have zero miles with it installed, so it'll be awhile before I drain it. Car sits idle as I'm away a lot. I wish there was a way to tell how much it actually catches.....30%, 70%, 5%? Who knows? I installed a can on another NA car and it seems to work well but again, what percentage is it actually catching? Never seen an advertised amount probably because there is considerable blow by which would hurt sales.
lildisco
I want to say that i read somewhere that the 'RXP' Catch Cans, (There are several), catch over 90% of all blow by. I'm trying to find the article/video, but can't at the moment.
ezndo
If true, 90% would be pretty, pretty good.
Jamesr003
I'm looking to install an oil air separator as well on my 2016 2.7L. Maybe a stupid question (only had Edge for a few months now) but where is the pcv valve located on the 2.7 eco engine. I've seen tons of setup videos for the F150 but the intake and engine position is different on the Edge sport. Thanks guys P.S glad to join the club
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Not really clear in the diagram, but looks like it is on bank 1 somewhere USUALLY it is in the valve cover. http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/PartDetail.aspx?n=MvnFM7P7FwHAIaDwlUuarQ%3d%3d&id=420978585&m=2&search=true&year=2015&make=Ford&model=Edge

Also there is 2 pcv valves for us, one on each cylinder bank. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/20911-27eb-oil-catch-can-lms-tune/?p=169892 Edited June 15, 2017 by Beezz
