Larry
Hello everyone, Would anyone know where I can find a diagram of the oil lubricating system for my 2013 Edge SEL with 3.5 v6? I'm just curious because after changing oil the other day I removed the oil fill cap while the engine was running and saw a oil feed for the cam . I was wondering if each cam bearing has a oiler or does the oiler somehow lube the whole cam? Hope I made sense with my question. Thanks Larry
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
There is one oil feed tube for each bank. #14 and #21
chefduane
Larry asks a question about a fairly complex system within the 3.5 and WHAM! A color schematic three dimensional breakdown with a detailed description of the complete lubrication system with part numbers no less. Gotta' love this Forum!! chefduane
With all the great tips and info I've gotten from watching MacT's vids, I suppose I should breakdown and buy a sticker at some point.
Larry
WWWperfa_ZNOW, Thank you for your quick response and expertise. What I can see the two lube tubes lube the timing chain more than the cams???? After thinking about the lube tubes and the amount of oil that is being pumped through them, if every cam bearing had one there would have to be a 10-12 quart sump instead of 6. As much oil that comes through those tubes there wouldn't be any oil left in the pan to pump. Enough of my jibber japer. Thanks again Larry
