N-edge16
Hi, Just bought a 2016 Edge titanium from ford dealership. I just found some spray paint on the panel above the radiator. It seems that the panel is black but its been spray paint. What do you guys think? How does this panel look like in yours?
PaulSchott
It's possible that they just gave it a little makeup job to look better for sale. If it was replaced it wouldn't have been painted. I am assuming the car is used and not new.

I looked at the production date for the parts including the wires on the cooling system. They all dated late 2015. The car has clean title and clear carfax. You are saying that panel should be fully painted?
N-edge16
I just went to the dealership and looked at the brand new edges. The radiator upper panel is painted the same way in all of them. It's weird that they don't pay attention to these things in production!!
t0lkman
my paint same as well. The painting quality very very bad for 2016... It's like we are in 1940

It's like we are in 1940 You are right, that was the reason for my concern. It seems that they don't put much attention on quality control, but overall I like it's comfortable ride. I tested multiple car and SUVs and the new Edge was by far best in terms of ride quality and quite cabin.
IWRBB
Most people never look under the hood of their car- ever. Ford knows their market. They clear coat the engine bay of Mustang Cobras- no other Mustangs got clear in the engine bay. They know the guys with the nice engine under the hood want a nice looking engine bay as well. Waldo
They pay attention to what's important to customer. Very, very, very few customers would ever care about what you're talking about. Lack of "attention" on one part of the vehicle does not reflect lack of attention on other parts. Edited May 24, 2017 by Waldo
