chefduane
How about going over to www.blueovalfourms.com and asking there? It seems to be populated with some folks that actually work at Ford in Dearborn. Someone there might know.

Ray Heath Jr
How about going over to www.blueovalfourms.com and asking there? It seems to be populated with some folks that actually work at Ford in Dearborn. Someone there might know. There are plenty of us that know...just have to wait for us to actually get on here and read the question. Also, the info is out via fairly quick Google searches. Hell the question has now been answered here 2 times in the past 24 hours.
akirby
For some reason people think it's easier to just ask a question and wait for someone else to do the research for them rather than take a few minutes to search themselves. I don't get it.
atekido
I doubt its about waiting for someone else to do the research more than one assuming someone may already have the knowledge without searching. It is also common sense to post the question on a forum while at the same time searching it on your own as well. It is fairly simple don't read or reply to someones post if it causes you to melt.
akirby
In my experience it's 80% just being lazy and wanting someone else to do the research and 20% did a search but did not find the answer. It takes less time to do a quick google search or search the online manual pdf than it does to log in here and post a question which might not be answered for several hours or days.
chefduane
The reason I responded suggesting he go over the blueoval and research it there was >because< I had seen him ask here a few times without a specific answer. But I agree that Uncle Google usually has the answer if you drill down a few pages.

I don't get it. I did research it myself (made quite obvious by my listing the two main turbo manufacturers for ecoboost engines) but couldn;t find a definitive answer. Asking questions about a ford edge on a ford edge forum shouldn't surprise you so GFY and stay off the forum if you don't want to see questions.

While I find your answer intersting, I find your arrogance appalling. If your unable to remain civil, please leave the forum. None of us wish to be assulted by such vulgar language.

RC Mike
Calling someone out for daring to ask a question is definitely a form of personal attack. Don't start what you don't like.
KLinNBC
For some reason people think it's easier to just ask a question and wait for someone else to do the research for them rather than take a few minutes to search themselves. I don't get it. A post that asks "Have you tried a search of the forum?" would be acceptable, even useful. The post above is provocative and insulting, condescending, casts the original poster as lazy and stupid as well as beyond your understanding. The type of behaviour a moderator is supposed to prevent, not demonstrate.
PaulSchott
I quote Rodney King. "Can't we all just get along?" Oh, Wait a minute then his girlfriend hit him over the head with a shovel and threw him in the pool. Guess he was wrong!
Beezz
lots of turbo whine To be fair, the search tool on the forum is frustrating. Usually have to dig through posts to find things.
chefduane
..well, ..I feel somewhat strongly ambivalent about both perspectives, yet upon cursory reflection certainly feel it warrants further study.

If you're feeling intransigently ambivalent, it might pay to formally accept what's already happening - that is, decide not to decide.<<Martha Beck>>
akirby
Ok guys I see your point so I do apologize. That's still no excuse for a GFY though.
roots57
Ok guys I see your point so I do apologize. That's still no excuse for a GFY though. I really didn't think it was a stupid question, and I made it known the research I did beforehand wasn't exactly clear. I joined this forum for the same reasons as most people...to participate in sharing knowledge/info. Your comments were completely unnecessary, but I apologize for the GFY...now lets get past this
akirby
It was based on Ray Heath's comment that the information was readily available via a simple google search. It was also really more of a general comment about posters in general based on what I've observed the last 15 years on various forums. It's just one of my hot buttons. I should not have implied that you did not do any type of search. So yes, let's move on.
