FreeMason
Hi I’m new here, so I’m not really sure what to do here. But here goes My 2013 Ford Edge Limited has a bad smell coming from the A/C while driving down the road. It isn’t there all the time but it seems to happen whenever you change speeds. Like slowing down or speeding up. It actually smells something like a musky smell. Please help.

IWRBB
Maybe the condensate drain line is clogged and changing speeds makes the pooled water move and uncover the stuff that is generating the funky smell?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
that and the cabin air filter would be first guesses. as long as you don't hear sloshing sounds when making hard lefts, the blower motor is likely OK.
enigma-2
It's actually a common complaint. The most likely cause is the drain for the ac housing has become plugged. The condensate sits in the housing and mold starts to grow (hence the musky smell). Check out a post I added some time back describing hoe to open the drain and use a mold killer.
