roots57 Posted May 5, 2017 Report Share Posted May 5, 2017 Has anyone tried to change/replace any of the interior lights in a Gen II Edge? More specifically the driver and passenger reading lights, or rear seat reading lights? I bought some new LED bulbs that I thought I could put in, but now I don't think its possible. I took the moon roof/reading light control panel off, but I think for the Gen II Edge they decided to use permanent LED's. The only way it looks like they can be changed is to break the RF welds to get into the individual light housings. I'm pretty sure the Gen I edges have type 168 bulbs everywhere, but maybe not in the Gen II ?? Does anyone know more about this or have any help to offer? roots57 Posted May 9, 2017 Author Report Share Posted May 9, 2017 from what I can see, all the interior bulbs are fixed LED's designed to outlast the car itself, since none of them are replaceable or are easily accessible. kinda limits your options for interior lighting changes without really digging in.
