marinduck
I just purchased a 2013 AWD Sport. Anyone running snow tires on their Sport with 22 inch rims? I make frequent trips to Tahoe in the winter and I am looking for a decent tire so I don't have to chain up. Based on my initial search, I only see one option for the 22" rim. Pirelli makes a Scorpion Zero Winter tire, but they are almost $400 a pop. Any other suggestions? Maybe go with a complete second set of dedicated snow tires with a smaller rim size?? Any issues with doing this? Edited May 4, 2017 by marinduck
aloyouis
I see no answer here. I would say to go for the complete set of winter wheels and tires.
pinyin
with snow tires you will want a smaller diameter wheel with a thinner profile. . i would look for an inexpensive winter wheel and tire package, something like what you would see on a police vehicle. i think the 22's on the Sport are overkill as it is, i can't imagine having snow tires on those wagon wheels. should be no issue at all, aside from maybe speedometer calibration.
