garypender
I have a 2016 Edge with a little over 9,000 miles on it. Recently the power window controller on the drivers side has gone cuckoo..In the morning all functions work including power door locks. Later in the day I get in the car and only the back windows and all windows lock function works. Front windows, mirror controls, and power lock button will not work. Window controls on individual doors work all the time. Sometimes it will work fine for days then the darn gremlin will appear out of the blue!! Any thoughts before trip to the dealer? enigma-2
Check the wires where they run between the car frame and the door. The constant flex sometimes breaks a wire in this area. Broken ground would affect all the door components. (May need to pull back the rubber covering).
garypender
Thanks for the tip. I pulled the covering and inspected the wires. All look good and solid. Taking it to the dealer later this week to have them check it out. Hopefully the warranty will cover any needed repairs.
garypender
Finally got the car into the dealer. They found that the circuit board for the controller was faulty. Will be replacing the entire module under warranty.
