Rotora has had them for sale since the Sema show almost 2 years ago, along with their SS brake lines for the Edge. Xtra
The Sema Show brakes were with custom rims so they would fit. They would not work on a stock Edge Sport with OEM rims . These brakes will fit the stock OEM 21 inch wheels, no wheel spacers needed. Rotora wanted to develop a set up that would work with OEM equipment, and had no wheel spacers. As they needed a stock Edge to do this, I loaned them mine so that they could develop the system. Hope that clears things up. This system was finished and ready for the public in March 2017. I worked directly with them on this project and this is first hand info. The brakes kick butt and look good too. They work with the Anti Lock Brake System and the Electric Parking Brake. I could not be happier. Edited April 26, 2017 by Xtra

gjb89
Not a big fan of drilled rotors and especially paying a hefty price to have them.
akirby
Overkill for street use but looks great. Also not a fan of drilled rotors (other than looks). Pay attention and check for cracks frequently.

Xtra
I am located at the mouth of a canyon . Not just any canyon but the one that accesses lots of other canyon roads . The very same roads that every Los Angeles based Motorcycle and Auto magazine use for testing and photo shoots. Places like the Rock Store and Stunt Road to name some you may know of. So for me they are not overkill. To answer a few questions :The brakes have a very long service life, more than stock with the ceramic H-2 pads. As for the Drilled rotors, the holes are chamfered to help relieve stress and reduce cracking. They also offer an endurance slotted rotor that is used for racing that can be used on the street. As for over kill again, I understand you don't have to have these to go pick up the kids, but the feel of the brakes is worth it alone, not to mention the performance aspect and the killer looks. As for cost call ROTORA and ask for Loren tell him Extra from this forum sent you. He will hook you up.

macbwt
I think I will stick with my brakes at 100K miles on the set currently and hardly worn. I bet for much less money than these brakes and durability very questionable. Once the salt gets into those slots and holes it is all over with. The rotors will be trashed the first winter. Throwing money down the toilet.
Nick Halstead
now I'm really confused cause, Loren tried very hard to sell me this kit in Nov of 2015 assuring that it fit OEM rims. I'd rather spend $6,000. on something elsehttps://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8epPWB6ZdvaclljVG9UZkJMY3F0ODIyYnM4SmRUd0NmMGNN/view?usp=sharing
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
BTW, the rear kit eliminates the emergency/parking brake feature. This is not special to the Rotora kit, you will see it on most mfr's BBKs. In fact, it is rare that you will find a BBK for the rear axle. Wilwood is one of the brands that does offer rear axle kits for FWD vehicles. They don't really have a product for the Edge tho. You can talk to Todd Cook at www.tceperformanceproducts.com if you are willing to take measurements etc, and he can develop a kit for you. Expect similar pricing tho, you can tool around his website to understand Wilwood's product offerings. And yes, macbwt, Todd does have something for Rufus http://www.tceperformanceproducts.com/no-title/kits-57/

Xtra
Ok here we go . The front 6 pot brakes did not fit the 2016 21 inch Edge Sport OEM rims without the use of wheel spacers. I don't know about any other years or rim combinations. Every year or so manufactures change the rims and that can be a problem with fitment. Rotora had my car for a couple weeks designing a new system. That new improved brake system includes the electric rear parking brake, the anti lock brakes and lets the front 6 piston calipers with 380mm rotors, Drilled or Slotted ,fit the 21 inch OEM wheels without spacers. So the electric parking brake does work as original. The Anti Lock Brakes do work as original. And the front calipers do fit without the use of wheel spacers. These brakes kick ass and work so much better than stock it is not funny and yes they do cost more than Pep Boys life time brakes. To make things better Rotora is offering a special discount to forum members. Just mention Xtra to Loren. I make nothing on this, I am just helping out other Edge enthusiast on this site as I love these brakes and you will too.

Xtra
RC Mike I don't give a rats ass if you buy these or not. All I have tried to do is help fellow Edge owners save some money and get some high end parts for their car. I appreciate your opinion. Pearls before swine. RC Mike
Maybe you're not aware of how it appears, but you seem to be quite invested into whether or not people buy these. It's one thing to talk about how much you like them, and another to continually push people to contact a seller and use you as a referral, and then to say you've arranged a group-buy discount. I used to moderate at a forum with over 500,000 users. We had vendors and their shills working very hard to get their products in front of these folks, while not wanting to pay for advertising. I'm not saying that you or your friend should be paying for ads here, but that your behavior is very similar to theirs. It's your choice how you behave and how you come off, so I'd have to assume your intention is to drive some sales. How's it working out?
