Jay Lin
Hello, I just updated SYNC 3 to version 2.2 (w/ Nav), I have a Samsung Galaxy S7. When I plug my phone into the USB port, on the car computer screen, I can see tabs (where Audio, Nav, phone etc is) changes to Android Auto, and the Nav tab icon changes, for about 2 secs only, then it goes back to stock SYNC 3 setting... I was never able to mirror the Android Auto screen onto my car screen...Anyone experiencing this issue? I already tried to delete the Android setting off both the car and my phone and reestablish the connection, reboot my car a few times along the way, but doesn't seem any changes.. Seems like the system is trying to establish the connection, fails, the just gives up... Please assist. Ray Heath Jr
Those that are failing, what OS version. Guy in the other Sync 3 update thread is having issues with his Pixel on 7+. Might not be related to hardware, but OS version.

Jay Lin
I found a way to fix the issue, I don't know why it works but it works. I replaced the USB port to an apple certified one because my wife uses iPhone (you have to replace the port for Apple Carplay), and for some reason even my Android Auto works fine now. OEM Genuine Ford APPLE CARPLAY Interface Module Sync3 Only GJ7Z-19A387-B White There is one that's blue like the factory one if you want that one instead.
