WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Halogen or HID? Amazon is usually a good source. Philips brand is my preference.
enigma-2
I just switched over to Philips X-tremeVision. Very satisfied with the change. This is the best you can do with OEM Halagen projectors. Edited April 19, 2017 by enigma-2
Agima
I just switched over to Philips X-tremeVision. Very satisfied with the change. This is the best you can do with OEM Halagen projectors. I have Philips X-Treme vision +130 on my motorcycle (low and high beam) and they are very, very nice indeed! About the Ford Edge, if I may jump it, I'm a bit puzzled about socket/bulbs sizes. According to my owner's manual (2011 Limited), the correct fitting size is HIR2. Looking on the web, they are many references to 9012 (I guess it's another way to designated HIR2). I've started looking for HIR2/9012 bulbs on various sites but it's seems to be OEM replacements for the most part, not more "powerful" bulbs. I'm sure I'm missing something here! For instance, the Philips X-tremeVision seems to only come in H1, H4 and H7 sizes!?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
No 9012/HIR2 upgrades, really, the options you have in halogens are listed on this page: http://store.candlepower.com/hir29upfor90.html
candurin
9006 size is also a suitable replacement. It should fit with zero modifications, however, on some manufacturer's bulbs the tabs are a tad bit thicker and may require a small amount of sanding or a dremel.
omar302
You should be able to use 9011 (high beam bulbs) in 9012 housings in the same way 9005 are used in 9006. Much shorter life, but also a significant upgrade. Edited April 20, 2017 by omar302
