wolfman78
2008 Ford Edge Limited 175,000 Anyone have this problem? Started to over heat 2 months ago puked all fluid out of reservoir and kicked out a cylinder overheat code. Refilled reservoir cleared codes and no problem for 2 months. Puked out again last night while my daughter was idling for 10 minutes. Refilled reservoir drove again no problem. I have been told could be the fan not coming on to cool while at idle? Have not checked the A/C yet if it comes on. Any help would be great...

wolfman78
Could it be in need of a coolant flush? Air in the system thermostat?
macbwt
Check the fans. Check the engine oil for signs of coolant in oil (oil changes to a chocolate milk color when mixed with coolant) if you have coolant in oil (stop driving it) Replace water pump 1800.00 dollars
