Andy Linker
per the ford site, I have the latest version of Sync... but? I have a 13 Edge Sport and the site "sees" that my latest was installed in '12... so, as it left the factory... how do I get/download the newest there is for my system... I have searched- but probably not correctly... any help is appreciated.
omar302
It has been a while now, but Ford apparently decided to NOT offer the updates on the website, so regardless of the current version you have, it will always show that you have the latest. You have to go to a dealer for the official updates.
RJG
I see the A7 (I think) SD chip on E Bay for a really cheap price. They look legit. Anyone buy one of these. I have a 2012 Edge with 2013 maps....A4.
pedro2u
I purchased my 2011 Limited as a CPO in December of 2015 and it still had the A4 SD card. The A6 SD card on eBay was $48 so I grabbed it and it worked great. Not sure what updates the A7 gets you for the extra $35 beyond A6, but I've had no problems traveling in all of the Northeast including buzzing around Manhattan
TourGuide
Be glad you have access to these. Those of us with SYNC3 are finding that map updates are very, very slow. The maps for the SYNC3 nav system are in dire need of an update but so far - nothing. The good thing about the SD card updates is that at least they come on a fairly predictable and regular timetable. pnewby
What is the latest version of Snyc 3 and where do I find it? Are the hubs now available for dealers so I can get CarPlay and what is the status of the OBD plug in for remote features? Any cost on either of these? I've been away from my 16 EWdge Sport for a few months and plan to get the upgrades in May. Thanks for any updates. I noticed on syncmyride and the ford owners site that it always says I have the latest updates. It used to have the latest to download and then I had to verify the update after it was completed. Didn't realize they had ended this with no notice.
Ray Heath Jr
Latest version of Sync 3 available currently is 2.2. There is a whole thread in this area dedicated to that subject and the upgrade.
hrab8126
I purchased the A7 on E bay for my 2012 Edge and it worked fine.
