scaredycat
Do the WeatherTech splash guards fit perfectly on the 2017 Ford Edge (and easy to install), or should I go with the Ford splash guards and have Ford install? Cost of Ford installation?
lildisco
I installed the OEM front & rear splash guards. Total time was under 30 minutes. Only 2 holes need to be drilled on the fronts, per the instructions. The rest are really easy reusable push pins Has really made a difference with dirt and debris getting into the bottom of the front doors. scaredycat
I ended up going with the WeatherTech splash guards (because there were no Ford OEM mud flaps for a 2017 Ford Edge) but had to have them installed because there was an area I couldn't get to without possibly destroying something. Anyway, the WeatherTech's lined up "perfectly" with the existing push pins; received metal screw-on bolts where the push pins go and everything is securely in place and my 2017 Edge Titanium looks so good. WeatherTech advertises splash guards/mud flaps as "no-drill" and with "quick turn fasteners". Mine were "no-drill" but didn't have the "quick turn fastener" feature. The WeatherTech website fails to mention that the "quick turn fastener" feature only applies to certain vehicles. In any case, I'm happy with my purchase and look forward to NOT getting dirt and debris into the bottom of the front doors OR paint chips from small rocks, etc.
lildisco
I don't know why there wouldn't have been an OEM option. My 2016 has them & i don't think they redesigned them in 2017
dweiss22
Just put on the Weathertech splash guards on the front of the 2016 Sport. They went on easy and look great. The rears didn't fit, at least not on the Sport but the front did. Although they are not a line for line perfect fit but fit fairly well. You really have to get down and look at them to see that they aren't perfect.
