tamugrad2013
Good Evening, After having the center carrier in the transmission replaced last summer (July) and the car being in the shop for 20 days transmission issues have come again. It has been a lot smoother since I got it back, but within the last few weeks its been harsher downshifts again and now when I just was coming home pulling into my parking space it really started shuttering as i was coming to a stop. Also shifting from park to reverse shakes the car harshly, and shifting from reverse to drive is even worse all of a sudden. I have seen only two cases of transmission issues on the 2.0 L Ecoboost engine including mine. There is rarely if ever harsh upshifts. The downshifts are not only harsh when accelerating now but also when coming to a stop. Now the bigger issue is dealership experiences. I recently moved back to Odessa, TX and I have had many issues with the dealership here in town with previous issues and the transmission work was done at another dealership in College Station, TX. One of my biggest gripes is when I lived here last time they would not even schedule an appointment. They would just say bring it in and drop it off. I do not understand why I can't schedule a time especially if it is one or two weeks in advance to bring it in and have it looked at that day. I just want to be able to go to a dealership and not be screwed which seems difficult here in the Odessa area. I will give them another chance because it has been over two years since I have used the dealership here, and I am 99% sure they will be able to replicate the issue. Thanks for thoughts and replies. WWWPerfA_ZN0W
The 6F35 transmission has had a lot of issues for sure. Look up TSBs for the Fusion and Escape and you will see. I hope it is somehing simple like the TSS/OSS sensor issues, but ... Wouldn't be surprised if they have to replace the trans. Have you pulled codes from the PCM? THat would be my first move before I took it anywhere else.
tamugrad2013
Will i get codes even if no warning lights have come on.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Absolutely. Warning lights are more do or die situations. Like any help system, codes are tiered according to severity. The lesser codes are relegated to languishing internally until pulled by a reader. Any major auto parts store can retrieve them for you if you do not have the OBD II adapter/software.
