Time &/or mileage. I would get brake & coolant flushed to get a known baseline. Brake caliper/slide pin service to keep the pads & rotors working smoothly. Trans fluid exchange can be on the table (avoid any place that says they will FLUSH) also, though it is way early, it may have lived a hard life. Short trips, few trips, etc. Fluids keep wearing down regardless of vehicle being driven. Everything has a shelf life.

Is it AWD? Find a place that will exchange out the PTU/RDU fluids.

Check the struts/shocks for signs of seepage, meaning they are on their way out. Not really an issue on the Edge platform, but the strut mounts can be.

Have the battery checked for cranking amps & voltage.

Don't forget to change out the cabin air filter (and it can be NASTY looking).

Look at Ford's ext warranty plans, or make future provisions for the possibility of throttle body, door latch, APIM, and/or backup camera failures. They have jacked up prices on parts lately.

Obviously if you DIY or get someone to help, the cost of any/all repairs will plunge, always a good thing :)

EDIT: I knew there was one thing I just couldn't remember before. Lube the BAMR regularly if your Edge has one. Will keep you VERY happy.
