1004ron
I'm looking to get a set of the Mud Flaps- Splash Guards and would like to hear if you're happy with the OEM or are there better 3rd party aftermarket ones available. IWRBB
You are going to have to provide details on your Edge. What year is it? Does it have the sport package? For instance, there are no custom fit mudflaps for the 08-10 sports due to the body kit. I've had good luck with the Ford splash guards on my other vehicles though. akirby
The Ford molded splash guards have always been great on past vehicles. Can't speak to the 2017 Edge specifically though.
lildisco
I do know that the rears are different on a non-sport. I picked up my rear set from a member with a sport who said that they didn't fit. I believe that the fronts 'might be' the same. They look decent & have noticed a lot less debris on the front doors since i installed the OEM splash gaurds Edited February 24, 2017 by lildisco
jmr061
Unless things have changed Ford doesn't make molded rear splash guards for the 15+ Sport. Edited February 25, 2017 by jmr061
chefduane
I put OEM splash guards on my '11. I tried aftermarket guards on other vehicles and they never seem to actually fit worth a poop. They are a little extra $$$ but OEM is your best bet IHMO. Thanks for that - I was about to purchase a set. It looks like Ford don't have any rear ones available for the Sport yet. onyxbfly
Oddly enough Ford only makes a set for the front for the 2013. Are rear mudflaps not important, or not needed? Edited February 25, 2017 by onyxbfly
enigma-2
The rears fit the SE, SEL and Limited. From what has been discussed here on the forum, the Sport's body shape makes it too difficult to fit a mud flap. I can't speak to this from personal experience, but others with the Sport have confirmed.
enigma-2
Located a set of REAR mud flaps are are advertised as fitting your 2013 Sport. They appear to be screw-on however. (Will fit other years if I'm not mistaken). http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/shop_years/ford-edge-mud-flaps-2013.html

scaredycat
I own a 2017 Ford Edge Titanium and purchased a set of WeatherTech mud flaps/splash guards for it. They are a precision fit BUT, I had to have them installed as there was an area I couldn't get at, and was afraid of damaging my car. Am perfectly happy with the guards and would spend the $$ again for the guards and to have them installed. I did a "post" about it on this forum. 1004ron
Ford don't make mud flaps for the Sport rear, so I went ahead and ordered the ones for the front, which should help reduce the dirt flung up onto the sides. These are really good quality made n Germany, but don't match the Sport side trim profile - see the pictures. We're moving into a new home in a week or two, so will need to drill the 6mm hole for the 4th plastic rivet after the move. Looking at the pictures, it doesn't look like the mud flags match up to the contours of the Sport very well. This is good to know, as I was considering these for my Sport, but after seeing the actual fit, I won't be getting them.
roots57
I've been looking for rear end mud flaps for my 2016 Edge Sport for awhile now. I also bought the OEM front mud flaps from the dealership. They have not produced a rear set that fit the Sport, which is very annoying! Also, the front ones don't fit as well as I would have liked, but they are probably better than any other 3rd party mud flaps. You will need to drill a hole in the wheel shrouds to install the fronts, so be prepared for this.
anile_eight
I have a 2015 edge sport and the first thing we did we get the OEM Ford mud flaps for the vehicle. No they are not a perfect fit, I had to trim on set the rears (I believe it was to better contour the body kit) but once I did, they fit just fine. I would have it no other way! What a huge difference of pickup on the car. I think the rears fit better then the fronts.

The Ford Edge OEM splash guards are not recommended for use on the rear. As you able fit a set, I'm certain that many here would love to hear "how" you were able to trim a set to fit the Sport. Perhaps a quick write up and a pix or two.
roots57
Can you please post pics of the trimmed rear splash guards? I've always wondered if I should try to trim the rear set to fit the Sport body, or if it was possible at least. Hell, even the front ones I put on don't fit very well in my opinion. Old thread revival in the hopes that he'll see the request for details on making the rear mudflaps fit, or maybe someone else has a solution for the rear. veener79
Got some good news. As we know Ford OEM and all other rear mudflaps do not fit the 15+ Sport as the rear bumper is a little different. I did some looking and I found a set on Ebay that said it was just for the for Sport. I gave it a try and guess what? If fits the Sport great! If you are wondering why I wanted these I live up in northern IL and we get a lot of salt on the road on winter. With out flaps you can get a lot of damage over the years to your paint. So far just installed the rear. They feel good quality. Only debate I have is since these touch the paint do I want to put some 3m clean vinyl protection between them and the paint. https://www.ebay.com/itm/312044726751 http://www.fordedgeforum.com/gallery/album/821-15-sport-rear-mudflaps/ Edited August 26, 2018 by veener79
