cubanB
In October I bought a new phone, the LG V20 (sprint if that matters). I have read on some android forums people stating BT connection issues, however I don't seem to be affected by that. My issue is that text message function is not working. It used to notify me on screen and audibly if I had received a text while driving and from who(i think). I've done a master reset and I can not get this feature working like it used to on android 6. I can however send a new message(one of Ford's™ amazing predefined messages® - sent from my Dell© PC typed with my Logitech keyboard© ) when I am sitting in park. So the question is does 3.8 need to be updated to be fully compatible with android 7? If yes, am I a fool for expecting this to ever happen? Has anyone else had this issue? I haven't been more than minorly annoyed by this but it can be very useful for people who spend a lot of the time driving for work. Perhaps it's specific to my phone model or brand? Anyone running MFT 3.8 and Nougat without issue? EDIT: This is on a 2011 Ford Edge Limited Edited February 21, 2017 by cubanB
akirby
On iphones you have to turn notifications back on after you make the bluetooth connection on the phone. Maybe Android has a similar issue. Look for options on the live bluetooth connection.
omar302
I have an HTC 10 & it was updated recently to nougat, no issues with SMS notifications or reading of messages by MFT. It also announces from who the is if it's from a saved contact & SMS notification is set to text to speech.
