imageshift
Hi all - New here. Just picked up a sexy 2015 sport, absolutely loaded to the hilt with 6.8K miles on it. But that's another story. I removed the front license plate and bought a pair a bullet bolts to fill the holes. http://www.ebay.com/itm/291021366160?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I started to dive into the install and then I stalled. Question: Who knows the easiest way to get behind the front plastic bumper to get a nut on the back of these bolts? It was a 2 minute job on my Dodge 2500... I can see its going to be a bit more involved here. Thanks >Robert

I just bought custom painted Ford emblems for the front and back and apparently to get the front emblem off, I need to remove the bumper and grille first. Please keep my posted if you find reliable instructions on removing the bumper cover. I am thinking of just buying the service manual, cost about $60-$70 online. good luck! chefduane
Why not just use 'push plugs'? It wouldn't be as cool as the bullet bolts but it would do what you need and keep you from having to remove/replace the grille.

imageshift
okay... looks like its going to be a job. ha. i'm going to assume theres metal behind the plastic, so perhaps I can simply drill and tap me some threads into it to screw into. I'll replay with progress, but thanks so far for the confirmation that bumper /grill is all one piece!
chefduane
I drilled mine out and never removed the bumper. When I painted it black I had to remove the front façade, but if you just want to remove the license plate bracket you can just drill it out. You could then perhaps use some type of rugged weatherproof epoxy to hold the bullet bolts on. Or use the push bolts.
