gjb89
I haven't run it myself. I know that was an option.
Ray Heath Jr
I had Anthony soften up my shifts on the 93 Aggresive a bit, was hitting too hard under part throttle.
GT500R
I want to say there are three different types of tunes avail. from LMS. Ā 1. First LMS tune which isn't known as "aggressive", the first one they came out with. 2. Aggressive tune which had firmer shifts and something else change (can't remember off the top of my head) 3. Chris Larsen special (me)... which is lowered shift points (proven to be quicker) and while in sport mode if you use the paddle shifters it kept the gear you wanted no matter how much throttle you gave (10% vs 100%).... which is good for dynoing and good if you just didn't want the car to downshift Ā http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/21158-0-60-quarter-mile-stock-tuned-edge-sport-thread/

GT500R
Are you using the 93 Aggressive tune with firm shifts? if so did the shifting acts like the 91 Aggressive tune with firm shifts you reviewed before? Ā Yes, similar shifting, but I realized since it shifted kinda high I was getting a bit of wheel hop on the 1-2 shift. Lowered shift points and stopped the hop and actually was a bit quicker. STB130
I too realized that the sport shift points were too high, after looking ar Dyno charts it seems to need to be lowered to around 5500.

I testing the Aggressive tune with firm shifts but still it's banging between 1-2 2-3 shifts.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Can take up to 200 miles.
cds71
Thats the aggressive tune.....it hits pretty hard on those shifts(even after the re-learn)....I usually get axle hop on those shifts...Im gonna email Anthony to see if I can get my hands on Chris's tune. I had a similar thought and has the shifts lowered to 5900 but it seems to have slowed the car down... so i kept it at stock shift points.
cds71
GT500.....so do you still feel the "Chris Larsen special" is still the fastest tune or are you finding the 93 aggressive to be faster?
gjb89
LMS should have a new tune soon that will have a significant gain in hp and tq compared to their 93 aggressive tune.

gjb89
On their facebook page they posted a dyno of a 2.7 Ecoboost MKX with 321 hp and 425 tq, someone commented and asked why there was a difference between the MKX and Edge and they stated that they have since learned new "tricks" to get the most out of the platform and that they are working on a new revision for the edge soon.

Also do you think the Lincoln tune is going to be a problem with trans? 426 # vs 350# on edge
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
The 2.7EB gets the 6F55 transmission, which has been daily-drivered at 600 HP/TQ at the crank in other applications (about 500 AWHP/AWTQ at the wheels). Should be fine, but the higher you push the curve, the more you should expect to shorten maintenance intervals. "Lifetime" is definitely out the window. Ray Heath Jr
Yeah, the newer tune is not available for ours yet. I talked to Anthony yesterday Evening. He said he would drop me a line when something new is available. Looking forward to it!
STB130
Why would the MKX tune not be available for the Sport? They are on the same platform with the same body and mechanicals; trans, AWD, etc. only differences are front and rear trim and interior trim.
