Hartman27
Hello all! New here! So my question is when we get out of our 2013 edge still unlocked it eventually beeps once than requires us to use the key fob to hit unlock or else the alarm goes off when we try using the door handle. Is there a way to turn this off completely or do I have to live with this? Thanks in advance!
omar302
What you described is not how a stock Ford Edge anti-theft system works. I believe you need to figure what system was installed to disable it.
akirby
Definitely not normal. Hard to troubleshoot without a more detailed description of the event sequence.
Hartman27
I get out of the car. Walk away. It honks once after about 30 to 45 seconds. Still unlocked I open the door and the alarm goes off.
enigma-2
I believe there's a couple of situations where you get a single horn chirp. One is when you hit the lock button on your remote and the horn chirps once to verify that all the doors are closed and locked. The other involves the remote start, one chirp means the system has received a engine start signal.
