chefduane
I have searched a bit and not found a way to cleanly remove the center rear headrest - the one on the fold down armrest/cup holder. I'm the only one that drives my Edge and it really blocks rear vision and I don't like having to keep the armrest folded down. Other than taking a sawzall and just tearing the thing out of there, anyone found a way to remove it? Thanks for any feedback.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Pretty sure it is not removable
omar302
It is probably safer to keep it up. https://youtu.be/rt5_i5bHwkE
chefduane
...only if you intend to over pack you car full of stuff, put a kayak up top, take your doors off, and run you and your family into a concrete barrier at 50 mph. But I get your point. Edited January 24, 2017 by chefduane
enigma-2
Pretty sure that the back is all one piece a the way up into the leather/foam cover. May he possible to remove the entire armrest.
chefduane
I looked at that but I'd like to retain the seat back flat across, and the ability to fold the center piece down so back seat drivers.. err.. passengers.. can still make use of the cup holders. Dunno' what I'm going to do on this one. I really don't want to experiment with removing the headrest as I know it will mean destroying it. Hmph. macbwt
Center head rest is one piece unit and from my initial inspection I could only see the option of cutting it apart.
Jakefordedge
The headrest is welded in... From what I see.
