LNCHBOX
I can find plenty of write ups for the 2.7 F150, as well as the Explorer Sports, but I'd like to see one for the Edge just to know what exactly I'm doing. I'm sure it's easy enough to figure out, but figured I'd ask if it did exist and anyone else might be looking for it. Thanks.

cds71
Thats when the BOV ....vents to atmosphere.....aka VTA. Its gives you that whoosh sound when the turbo vents boost pressure through the blow of valve. Ā There is a GOOD engine description in this thread: Ā http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/21350-gjb89s-2015-sport-build/ Edited January 18, 2017 by cds71
akirby
That explains why I don't know what it is. I can't imagine wanting to hear that all the time in an Edge. But to each his own.

Nick Halstead
remove hose, plug hose. Done. with that said, you will not hear it go off unless you floor it. unlike the fiesta, focus, mustang and most manual turbo cars that go pssshhhh after every gear change, that does not happen on an automatic car like ours.VTA by way of Turbosmart BOV
