DBDRVN
Has anyone removed the front emblem badge from grill on a 2016 edge yet? If so any shortcuts, photos etc? Making a custom Lexan lighted badge replacement...just trying to save a few steps on the removal of the original one
Titan01
Hello DBDRVN, Very Interesting.. Would very much like to see any pics or mock ups of what you planning. Having been looking around for something a bit more unique than the Plasti Dip etc... Not saying that there is anything wrong with that.. Nick Halstead
unless your like me and have had the front bumper off like 999,999. times already... But yes, you must remove the front bumper to take the front emblem off
Mikula
I'm bringing this one back up, because after messing around with some intake options, i got side tracked and started messing with the front emblem. It CAN be removed without taking the whole bumper off. but you must be careful, and its definitely tight. took about 20 minutes to get the 2 nuts off the back of the emblem, but it can be done. With the hood open, you have to take the top plastic piece off the top of the grill (just a bunch of push pins) and then remove the 6 bolts from the top of the grill. this will allow you to pry the grill forward enough to get a hand, a ratchet and a 10mm deep socket, and it will come off, albeit 2 or 3 clicks of the ratchet at a time. I had one hand slipped in from the top, and one in between the grill so I didn't lose any hardware in the process. problem is, I don't have an emblem to replace the one I just took off. I was just so thrilled that I didn't have to take the bumper off that I kept going. Dummy... 4

For what its worth, you can take the front bumper off in less than 20mins of ratcheting

Also good knowledge. I’m sure for you it’s easy at this point; I’ve heard here (and the FB group) that you’ve taken it off a ton of times. I actually got the emblem off tonight with Mikulas method and a flexible ratchet extension fed through one of the honeycomb holes in the grill; worked like a champ. Got it disassembled and ready to paint this week. Now it’s the rear emblem that’s giving me a problem. There’s definitely more than just adhesive holding on the rear emblem of my ‘19. I saw a video of a guy removing it with a trim removal tool and there are two pop clips on back in addition to the adhesive,

Sport owners with the rear emblem on the light is just adhesive
