wildbillpookers
Hello, I just bought the 2016 Edge SEL AWD 3.5. I have noticed that the Speed adaptive volume doesn't work? I brought it back to the dealer and they don't know what is wrong? I called Ford help line and they were very eager to help me. I told them the problem and they said to go back to my dealer s they only talk with the dealership. So does anyone else have this issue? Thanks
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Should be in the MENU for the head unit. Menu StructureNote: Depending on your system, someoptions may appear slightly different. Press MENU. Press the up and down arrow buttons to scroll through the options. Press the right arrow to enter a menu. Press the left arrow to exit a menu. Press OK to confirm a selection. Audio Settings Speed Compensated VolumeAutomatically adjusts the volume to compensate forspeed and wind noise. You can set the system between0 and +7. akirby
The OP says it's not working. It would be good to doublecheck the settings though.
wildbillpookers
Okay, I do not have these settings??? No numbers 0-7. I have the Speed adaptive volume and the only setting are: "Low, Medium and High". Thanks
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Well, that's a humdinger. Maybe your dealer can figure it out together directly with Ford Customer Service. Just like they did when one member was having problems with a backup camera that required a software update directly from Ford.
wildbillpookers
My dealer gas never heard of this problem but they do know I have a problem. All they can do is email Ford and wait until Ford gets back to them! I'm not a happy Ford camper!
Burrcold
It's only supposed to have low, medium and high.
wildbillpookers
Yes, correct, low, medium and high! It still doesn't work! The dealer has given up, Ford does nothing but tell me to see my dealer! I know it's small thing, but come on. This isn't new technology, my 2001 Olds had it. I'm not impressed with FORD! akirby
It works on every other Ford vehicle for the last 30 years. Clearly you have some issue the dealer hasn't been able to fix. Maybe it's time to find a new dealer?
onyxbfly
Wait! This issue has not been resolved for two years? Remember not all dealerships are created equal. I have a dealer that I will not take my edge to at all. Either take it to a different dealer as Akirby suggested. Or ask the service manager/ tech to ride along with you! Once they can ascertain that it is indeed not working properly they can push it up the ladder for resolution.
omar302
There is a SSM for a similar issue for a few Ford & Lincoln models, but the Edge is not included. It involves reprogramming the ACM to the latest calibration. Maybe your dealer can try to update the ACM. SSM-47424.pdf
