t0lkman
If I buy a car from dealer X can I go for warranty fixes to dealer Y? If yes, does it make any difference? (I mean the dealer X where I buy car, probably, have some moral responsibility to fix they car, since they sold me it with the issues, but dealer Y most likely will try to get rid of me as soon as they can) Edited November 16, 2016 by t0lkman
chefduane
You can certainly go to another dealer for warranty issues. Your warranty is with Ford, not the dealer. The dealer should perform the warranty work, then bill Ford.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
As long as the warranty is a FORD warranty.
gjb89
I take my edge to dealer Y for all my fixes.
akirby
The only difference is if you need something fixed outside of the warranty your selling dealer may be more willing to work with Ford on your behalf for an After Warranty Adjustment. But there is no guarantee.
IWRBB
You can take it to Lincoln dealers too. Typically better service anyways.

MJB3
You can take it to Lincoln dealers too. Typically better service anyways. My understanding is (and I may be misinformed) that a Lincoln dealer can service the vehicle but can not perform warranty repairs.
akirby
I don't think that restriction still exists, although some dealerships may not have the appropriate parts or tools to repair some vehicles.
tamugrad2013
Definitely can take it to a different dealer. I brought mine in Fort Worth, TX (better selection and less sleazy sales people) and I get it warranty work done locally.
