STAR
I just purchased my first Ford ever. 2014 Edge sport. I need to get studded tires put on. I currently have 22" wheels but thought it would be less expensive to go with smaller rims and tires. Any suggestio s?
akirby
You should be able to go with 18s - check the temporary spare tire - it's usually the minimum safe wheel diameter that will clear the calipers. Just make sure you keep the overall tire diameter the same.
junehhan
If you live in a mountainous region that requires that type of winter driving hardware, check out your dealership or maybe some other shops. Many of them offer packages exactly for people like you that match a set of rims and tires for the vehicle. You can also visit Tirerack's website and play around with their little tool that allows you to size up potential rim and winter tire packages. I agree that 18's may be along the lines of what you could use. I have heard of 17's being possible but that would make me nervous and also could look goofy with that much sidewall bubble.
