Ironlemon
Hello everyone. On our 2013 edge with dual climate control, there is no heat on the driver side, only cold. Hot and cold work on the pass side. I took of the blend door actuator, on the drivers side. I can easily move the linkage and make heat work for the drivers side. So my question is, did i take off the culprit (the drivers side blend door actuator)? On the actual actuator itself, i will break the white plastic arm off before it will move, so to me it would be the problem. What brand to get? autozone, orelies, rocauto....... Thanks in advance. Ironlemon
Update: Well the actuator works when i hook it up to a 9volt battery. The wiring looked fine. So what do i look for now?
omar302
I remember a member or 2 that said just disconnecting & reconnecting the actuator made it work for a while, maybe that's your case and why the actuator is now working. macbwt
actuator is an electric motor. You moved it around and just enough to get it off the DEAD spot. It will work a while until it lands on the DEAD spot again then it will stop working.
jdsedge2
I am having the same issue. Hot on passenger side, cold on drivers side while the heater is on. Where is the drivers side blend door actually located? I read about unplugging it and plugging it back in, but I'm not sure where it is to disconnect it. Does anyone happen to have pictures of it?
