Gortty-Pilot
I've got a really good deal on some side rails that were purchased for a 2010 Edge, but I have a 2011 Edge with a BAMR. I know several other members have had success in replacing the sides of the Pano Roof with side rails. Is there a difference in the 2010 side rails vs the rails for the 2011-2014 edges. My gut tells me no, but I hate being proved wrong. Edited November 6, 2016 by Gortty-Pilot
chefduane
From doing research here and elsewhere, I'm almost positive they will fit. I have a 2011 Limited and am interested in getting side rails also. And the Thule AeroBlade Edge crossbars will work with the side rails and still have clearance for the BAMR. ps - if you decide to not use the rails, I'd be interested in them. Ill let you know if the 2010s do end up fitting.
Gimp
It will fit. I was apparently the first person to report a self install of a roof rack on a 2012 model Edge back in late 2011. In the following discussions it was determined that the same roof rack part numbers fit all preceding model year vehicles as well as the 2012 update. A number of people on this site have traded racks for strips since then and I've never heard of anyone having a problem.
chefduane
That's what I'm looking to do - trade my strips for racks/side rails.
Gortty-Pilot
I want to update everyone that the 2010 rails did fit my 2011 Edge with Panoramic roof. They cost me $60 so there was no way to let it go without trying. The kit was opened an was missing 2 of the 8 longer bolts, so if anyone has an idea as the where to get these, I'd greatly appreciate it. Overall it didnt take more than 30 minutes to get it finished - 10 of those minutes were jyst trying to snap one of the rail cover into place. Everything else was really easy for anyone with some mechanical experience. Thank you all for your help!
