Chipster
Just curious...I'll have to check mine, but was interested in the ratio of hrs. to miles. Edited November 1, 2016 by Chipster
cds71
We are on our second one...its a 2015 sport: Built July 14 2015 Picked up Aug 28th 2015 as of Nov 01 Total Km's: 31450 km .....I have no idea as to how that would equate to in hour vehicle time? Our first 2015 edge sport was ordered Jan 01/2015 and picked up May 04 2015.....build date was Mar 12/2015....returned back to ford August 11th 2015....and it had just over 8000kms on it. cds71
Is there a chronometer on the edge sync system? IF there is Ive never seen it?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Should be under Trip 2 possibly. Macbwt has it on his 2011s.
chefduane
It's called a Hobbs Meter in the aviation world. Measures hours the engine is running. Used to determine when the annual is due. But an aircraft Hobbs is an actual electromechanical device. Does the Edge really have a software measurement tool for engine-hours? That would be way cool! WWWPerfA_ZN0W
I think the display is called a Trip Timer. So you can keep track of current trip on Trip 1 and cumulative on Trip 2. Follow Trip 2 timer to the interval you want, or track it for that trip on Trip 1 timer.
chefduane
But it doesn't sound like the Trip Timer can be set to keep the actual accumulated time the engine has been running. Unless someone set Trip 2 to start when they bought the car and never reset it. Don't know how accurate that would be, but what a long strange trip it might be. heh. WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Definitely some user intervention required ... but you can track engine hours between fuel ups and between oil changes with the 2 trip meters available. I don't think there is a display for overall engine hours since it was first operational, but maybe it could be viewed in engineering mode? Chipster
Sorry folks I mistook the hours seen in the fuel window as total. I have 2800 miles on mine. Still like new. This is what happens when you have 3 cars to drive.
