PiotrJostayev
Recently my father(vehicle owner), informed me he was following my car via GPS tracking and proceeded to relay my three destinations that day with surprising accuracy as I had not informed him where I was headed. This was somewhat unsettling as you can imagine. I'd like to know if this is a factory feature on the vehicle or if I'm being remotely monitored by a third-party device. Also if it's possible to turn this feature off(if it's factory) or to identify the third party device. I'm not looking to turn the system off cause it ain't my ride, but I am curious.
akirby
Not a factory feature. Are you sure he's not tracking your phone?
PiotrJostayev
Not a factory feature. Are you sure he's not tracking your phone?Yessir I'm quite sure, I bought my phone and I'm on my own plan so that option is out. I left the car parked at my friends apartment just a while back and went with him in his car out camping and my dad asked me why my car was parked at his place for three days. If it's not a factory feature where would such a device be located?
Waldo
Ask your dad where he put it!
akirby
I like the way you say you don't want to turn it off, you just want to know if it can be turned off and where it might be located. LOL!

LOL!Well if I shut it off or remove it then I get in trouble, besides I'd like to keep it if somehow the car gets stolen while I'm the primary driver. Burrcold
Sounds like you should just leave it alone seeing as though your dad is letting you drive his car.
WingNut
It is your dad's car so you can't really do a thing about it...nor should you. The price of depending on someone else for transportation.
