Lypender
Hello, I have a 2011 edge and my high beams will not turn off. I have to disconnect the battery when parked. Any help on this would be greatly appreciate. Thank you, Laura
omar302
I'd say it's most probably the switch itself. It's not hard to change. http://m.ebay.com/itm/281559535475 You can also remove fuse number 39 from the driver side kick panel fuse box

WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Is there any clicking sound when the headlights are switched from high beam to low beam and vice versa? The hi/lo is implemented via shutters in the headlights, and these shutters are known to get stuck/inoperative. I hope that is not the case, as changing out the MFS omar mentioned is SO MUCH easier and cheaper.
omar302
This thread has a how to fix the a notchy turn signal lever, though it is a different issue, the removal & installation of the switch is the same for the 2011 Edge. Also note that you a need a 2011-2012 switch only, Newer model's wont work correctly. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/index.php?threads/notchy-turn-signal-lever-fix.388119/
Lypender
No, there is no clicking sound at all.

If the high beam indicator in the instrument cluster is also stuck on (does not turn off) then I'd be even more inclined toward the turn signal switch (MFS). If it were sticking shutters the high beam indicator should turn on/off with switch.
