candurin
Ok, I may or may not have done this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-mobile/general/guide-enable-navigation-cars-sync-2-0-t3484473 And I may or may not have used this Bluetooth OBD tool: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005NLQAHS/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Lastly, I may or may not have purchased an eBay A7 Maps SD card and have everything working perfectly. I would recommend going with the OEM license option ($40-70 depending on which place you procure it from) available in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-mobile/general/myford-touch-navigation-activation-t3368080 It should cost you under $100 to have OEM Navigation added to your 2011+ MFT. I am not involved with the other forum at all... Just sharing what I've read...

mesaman
Working on doing myself. I'll keep everyone posted on my success, or not.
mesaman
I may have done this or not. Seems to have been successful.
candurin
Yup, I may or may not have just used it in a 3 hour car ride. You go with PNG method or license?
mesaman
I may or may not have used the PNG method.

mesaman
Also may or may not add that you may be able to change adding a destination while in motion. It might also be able to pair a cellphone also while in motion.
candurin
I may or may not be loving this thread..... If it is due to our juvenile jabbering, then we can certainly fix that. If it is due to the topic itself, then please feel free to remove this thread.

candurin
I may or may not have read way too far into this. At the same time I was reading this my kids were absolutely driving me mad.
Gortty-Pilot
I may or may not have also performed this and have navigation in the Instrument Panel Cluster and 8" touch screen. Most of the information may have been available from the dealer installation of Sync V3.8 which required me to literally change only 2 values.
vrdublu
I also may or may not have done this, and as posted earlier very simple to accomplish. TBH though, how ford can charge people for this POS Navigation blows my mind. I have never used anything so slow and cumbersome in my life. candurin
Nothing better than listening to my wife chastize me because I have my vent mounted phone on Waze, regardless if I have the SYNC Nav running or not. Yeah, the OEM nav is rough, but I am enjoying (MAYBE!) the novelty of it. I am glad to know that I have it as a backup, in case I ever have phone issues (I removed the Garmin from my console as it is no longer the backup device).
Oldsedge
I am very seriously may think about this mod, but does this still work?, I know this is an old thread but just wondering, I have a 2013 w/o Nav and 8" MFT.
Oldsedge
I may or may not like to perform this mod, I know this is an old thread but does it still work with downloading the files and buying the scanning tool, just wondering? candurin
Still works...
Oldsedge
candurin, yes it still works. I just did the procedure in post #1 and it worked like a T. Got my A8 off ebay and it is the original navigation that came with all sync II systems with Navigation, thanks to this forum.
bentonlmc
will it work for a 2007 with navigation, but no SYNC?

omar302
will it work for a 2007 with navigation, but no SYNC? No. 2007-2010 don't have the MyFord Touch system.
candurin
will it work for a 2007 with navigation, but no SYNC? You want to add navigation to a radio that already has it? If you dont have OEM navigation and want to add it, this may be your best bet: https://www.infotainment.com/collections/all/products/2007-2008-ford-edge-gps-navigation-radio Of corse, you can probably scour other websites, ebay or local junkyards for a deal.
