bizzum
My wife and I picked up our 07 Edge SEL on Friday, and I love it. Black with AWD and only had 13,500 miles on it. Unfortunately for us, it is already in the shop, as yesterday wife took it to the store, I found a nice red puddle of tranny fluid on the floor. Took it to the dealer today and a new PTU is being installed. Wont be back until this Friday! My wife is freaked out by this, but from what I have read on here, once it is replaced the problem is over. Hopefully this isn't an indicator of bad things to come! UPDATE....Got our edge back today, in the shop all week to get the new PTU put in. Drove it home, then later drove about 3 miles and the check engine light went on. Back in the shop it went. Any idea what this would be? It is frustrating buying a car 9 days ago and only actually having it for 2! solas989
No it is not an indicator of bad things - remember 2007 is a first run year for the Edge. Most (not all) people have stated that once replaced, all is well. There are a few other things to look out for RE the 2007 - look at the TSB list in the Maintenance section. Good luck - it is a wonderful vehicle and I have had no issues with its quality thus far (*knocks on head*). Solas
bizzum
Well, in 2 weeks, we have had our Edge for I think 4 days. We are convinced it is possessed! After getting the PTU fixed, we had it 2 days then the interior drivers side door handle busted! We got it back yesterday, only to find out someone hit the side of it, and now it is BACK IN THE SHOP AGAIN! I am starting to feel like I live at the dealership!
