pwgsx
My wife has a 2013 Edge SEL, this morning I went to get her gas and turned on the window defrost. Only the Driver side was getting heat. Duel temp was selected and both sides set at 80. I messed with it for a bit but I am only getting hot air from the vents, dash and floor on the driver side. Passenger side is blowing cold air. Is there a sensor that might be bad or maybe the blend door? HELP !!!
gjb89
Sounds like your blend door may be stuck.

akirby
There is one for each side. Do a forum search - there should be several threads with details.
gjb89
There should be 2. I know when one of them went out on my F150 they had to remove the whole dash to get to it...
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Yup, one BDA on driver side, one on passenger side. Also check cabin air filter, coolant level and A/C refrigerant level (yes it does weird things with airflow). Could be the HVAC module also, but less likely. 2013 Edge Temperature Blend Door Actuators.pdf
omar302
Some members reported that simply disconnecting the actuator then reconnecting it solved the issue for some time. Might want to give it a try first before replacing it.

onyxbfly
I have the exact problem. I have heat in the passenger side and none on the driver side... Would someone mind clarifying where the LH blend door is? I cant seem to see it in the diagram? Do I need to remove the drivers side center console panel? malammouri2016
Fixed, it was the blend door. Thanks for the help Did you have to reset/caliber it using IDS/fordscan before installing new ABD motor ?
