2FAST4U
I'm very tempted in getting a gloss black dash kit for my '16 Titanium. I don't plan on using all the parts included in the kit, just the ones around the shifter, the small storage compartment door, heated seats and radio and heater controls and last, the touch screen surround piece. (I'm including a picture of the pieces I'm talking about below)...There is already some factory-installed gloss black pieces on the console and doors (where the switches are) but I find that the area I just described above would be a nice addition which would blend-in with the factory pieces... What do you guys think? Claude.
gjb89
Vinyl wrap it. I'm sure you will save quite a bit going that route plus it won't look cheap!
2FAST4U
Vinyl wrap it. I'm sure you will save quite a bit going that route plus it won't look cheap! Thanks for the suggestion…but 1st, I don't know anyone in my area doing this and 2nd, I don't want to remove the parts from the dash… and 3rd…why do you say that it would look cheap? I've done a complete kit in my '02 Thunderbird (see picture) and it looked terrific, looked original to the untrained eye!... Claude. gjb89
Some kits that I have seen are very thick, with a lot of the buttons on the 15'+ edges being flush mounted I think it would look bad with the buttons recessed because of an overlay. To each their own. I will say the console trim on the Ford Edge is the easiest trim I have ever had to disassemble or assemble.
Nick Halstead
I will say the console trim on the Ford Edge is the easiest trim I have ever had to disassemble or assemble. 2nd that, I've gutted every car I have owned and the Edge is a breeze, I probably know this better than any 15+ owner
2FAST4U
Do they have something like that for the 2011-2014 models? Yes. Claude.
2FAST4U
I ordered only the pieces I showed in the initial post and am waiting for them to come in. I'll post some pictures when they're installed. I didn't want to buy a whole kit because they include so many parts that if you install all of them, it looks too obvious that they've been added-on. I just wanted to do the center console... Claude.
2FAST4U
Finally done!… Here are pics…sorry for the quality… I like it because it kinda "extends" the console's gloss black finish all the way to the top of the dash. Looks factory installed. Claude. Edited January 31, 2017 by 2FAST4U

dweiss22
Just finished the carbon fiber overlay on my center dash only. It turned out very similar to to the passenger side areas above the glove box. Take a look and tell me what you think.

rwf78155
The Carbon Fiber looks fantastic and should be standard on the dash of the Edge Sport
revitus
Wow, that carbon fiber wrap does look amazing! That is definitely the route I would go as well. Excellent work on the upgrade dweiss22!

Excellent work on the upgrade dweiss22! Thanks revitus.. it was relatively easy to do once all the dash parts were removed. I had a custom layout done by Rvinyl. Had to get it done twice because they made it wrong the first time. But all ended well. Thanks again for the positive response.
