radicon
I have tested it on different inclines and it does not roll back unless it's a fairly significant grade. akirby brought up a good point, did the PCM update just increase the idle speed or do something entirely different. I would not think that the torque converter could be adjusted with a computer program. Maybe they reprogrammed the transmission to tighten the bands or slip clutches. Did the Ford tech tell you what they did? Could one imagine the possibilities if the transmission and/or the torque converter were totally programmable. My old school guess is that is still several years away. My first thought when you mentioned a TSB on this problem, was that they would have to pull the transmission or something like that. My first oil change is coming up at the end of this month with a $9.99 coupon from my ford dealer. I will probably have them correct this glitch then. PrinzII
Doesn't look like the idle speed has changed.
