mjbaker84
Purchased an edge sport (well at least put a deposit down). Has 10k miles, fully loaded, everything but AWD. Anything specific I should look into before officially paying for it? This will be our 3rd edge. 2011 edge limited 2013 edge limited now 2015 edge sport. thanks! Nick Halstead
whats the build date? I'd check to make sure it wasn't one of the flood recall vehicles
cds71
"""" BUILD DATE""""" as Nick said, you do not want a leaky edge. I had one and its not pretty. Luckily ford took mine back and gave me a brand new Sport identical to my original. The 2015 Edge sport will knock your socks off compared to your other edges....it is on a completely different level of driving fun. The 2.7 twin turbo rocks! FWD are pretty rare, I think they have a little more tq steer than the awd, but there are a few guys on this board with the FWD and they all seem to luv em! Nick Halstead
Believe they have to declare this before the sale and required to be on the title. Not required to put recall fixes on title, the leaky edge is a thin line and doesn't always mean it was reported as a flood vehicle
akirby
That's completely different than a flood vehicle. Although the end result in the worst cases might be similar.
