foghelmut
Has anyone done this with an Edge? I don't see it specifically listed but its the same motor. https://performanceparts.ford.com/procal/ Ford delivered tunes that will not void warranty and are legal in all states. I think the device is about $
TheWizard
Actually, Ford Performance (formerly Ford Racing Performance Parts) is a separate company that offers its own warranty corresponding to the Ford Motor Company original warranty. All Ford Performance parts are considered aftermarket and only some of them come with a warranty (none of which apply to the Edge). It's a small but important difference... if you have a warranty problem with a Ford Performance part, you have to take it to a Ford Performance dealer for repair... not all Ford dealers are also Ford Performance dealers. foghelmut
So bottom line question - can I add 90 torque to my 2.0 Ecoboost with the Ford Procal, pass Smog in California, and be covered if my engine blows up at 20k miles? akirby
Not on an Edge. The warranty would only apply to the supported vehicles. Even though the engine is basically the same I doubt the Focus tune would work since they are completely different platforms.
Nick Halstead
nobody makes a tune for the 2.0 edge, a few people have inquired with Torrie of Unleashed and, he doesn't plan on it, there's no support for it. Not saying that someone wont though
