Recently bought my 2012 ford edge 3.5 and have replaced more parts than I wanted to! Ive changed the throttle body, o2 sensors, transsmiss lines power steering pump and a couple of other small things! BUT the issue I'm having is it's rough on start up/idle but fine once she in drive, it occasionally shuts off and says low engine oil pressure. If anyone els has a solution or has had the same problems PLEASE help! TIA

Could simply need a recalibration of the PCM and or the instrument cluster. But the fact that there are issues on startup/idle says you should look deeper.

Do you change your own oil/filter or do you have it done? Has this been going on over multiple oil changes? Could be too little oil, incorrect oil viscosity, a bad oil filter, etc. How does the oil look, does it get dirty quickly?

5W20 Motorcraft Synthetic Blend, Motorcraft FL500S oil filter at a minimum. May take between 5-6 quarts of fresh oil at change time.

Thanks Enigma-2, but as you suggested the link was dated.

My trim is the 2016 Ford Edge SE with the 2.0L engine.

I'm currently in Jamaica (with the Edge), and need to get it inspected (similarly to the US's DMV), however in Jamaica they also verify the VIN and Engine Number.

I know it's on the Engine Block someplace, and I'm trying to avoid going to the Ford Dealer for their confirmation, as it's not in the Owner's Manual

I need to know if I need to remove the engine cover, or if it's visible with the cover on.

Your guidance in this matter would be very appreciative.

"The engine code information label, located on the rear of the vacuum pump and on the LH valve cover...", check this documents. Thanks to @MacT & his site: https://www.mactgarage.com/

HELP!!!

Can someone please advise how my I locate the Engine Number on a 2016 Ford Edge

I just dicovered that the engine number is also on a production traveler that's stuffed behind the hood acoustic blanket (under the hood). On mine, it was shoved on the side on the drivers side.
