Oldtruckfanatic
Thank you so much for the fast reply. I will buy a new smart junction box tomorrow and when it gets here I'll have it programmed at Ford and hopefully that'll fix it.

Teebird
Same exact thing happened to my 07 MKX yesterday. No water involved, just 0 degree cold ND winter. Seems that car went into emergency operation only mode as it started and heater worked thankfully for wife’s important medical appointment. But no turn signals, no radio, back hatch locked shut, about six warning lights on and high beam indicator also on. Got home ok, today battery completely dead. Unhooked battery cables and put trickle charger on just to get it to repair shop. Also on was anti skid light and brake fluid level warning. I did fill brake fluid. Am hoping it starts in the morning. Am thinking it was just a major electrical malfunction of some sort that needs a reset. But I really don’t know?? Teebird
My problem corrected itself. After topping off the brake fluid (which was low), disconnecting both battery cables and putting a trickle charger on, and plugging in the head bolt heater - I left the car set overnight in -10 degree cold. The next day I unplugged the head bolt heater and trickle charger (battery was back up to full charge). I reconnected the battery cables and I opened the drivers door which I had left unlocked and immediately the alarm system sounded which I then silenced with the key FOB. Since the head bolt heater was plugged in the entire time in turned over easily and started right up. The radio ran for five seconds then stopped. Otherwise, no warning lights now on, no high beam indicator now on, turn signals and heated seats both worked, everything worked just fine! We drove to another doctor appointment and then drove the car around all day without any issues at all. The only thing not working now is the radio and I am guessing a fuse blew is all. Not sure but I think disconnecting the battery for a prolonged period and filling the brake fluid reservoir had something to do with it. Also, by having the heater plugged in, way less strain on the engine. The reason I think filling the brake fluid reservoir had something to do with it was that when all the warning lights were on the day before - one was the brake system and when I pressed the system check, reset buttons on the dash the brake system came up saying reservoir was low. Maybe because of this the car went into emergency use only allowing it to start and heater work but nothing else. Not sure why the alarm system sounded upon entry the next day, but maybe that played a role. I will check the radio fuse box when things warm up since it is -22 wind chill today. And I will keep the head bolt heater plugged in on that car until spring..... Thanks for allowing me to visit this site and learn that others had this very strange problem as well....
