firebird91
Hello all, I just bought my first ford ever a 2013 ford edge sport fully loaded. Is there anything I should look out for?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the new Edge! New tire prices might be a bit of a shock for the 22s LOL. Slow leaks happened on some OEM setups. Aside from that, standard Gen 1.5 issues: APIM, brake booster, door ajar sensor, shifter.
firebird91
So you are saying I should purchase the extended warranty from Ford.
junehhan
So you are saying I should purchase the extended warranty from Ford. I would because I am risk adverse, but remember that those extended warranties are profit makers that would not be offered if they lost money on it. Search online by typing Ford Esp into Bing or Google to comparison shop before making your dealer an offer.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
The APIM and Brake Booster may have an extended warranty on them, so would be no cost to you should they need repair/replacement. The other items would likely be OOP.
akirby
So you are saying I should purchase the extended warranty from Ford. If you can afford to pay for a big repair at some point you'll save money by never buying an extended warranty (over 20-30 years). You can always gamble on one vehicle but it's still a gamble. firebird91
I am considering the extended warranty because the car came out of Canada and imported to the US.
