Chrome or Alloy

They're not hubcaps. Prior to the PVD process which is now being used several mfrs tried chrome plating a plastic substrate epoxied to a regular wheel. The advantage was a chrome finish that was lighter than a chromed steel wheel and it would not pit or corrode over time. Unfortunately it was next to impossible to repair. PVD is better so it looks like Chrome clad is a thing of the past.

When I said aftermarket I meant not factory installed. If it was a factory cover they would have used cheap steel wheels behind it, not alloys.

It looks like these - maybe Ford sells a Ford branded version but they're definitely not factory wheels.
