Burrcold
I have the optional 21 inch wheels so obviously don't want to use them in the winter. I'm looking at going with one of the packages the dealers start putting together in September / October. Definitely no steel wheels and 18 inches is the lowest I want to go (they are on 5 months of the year so I want something that looks half decent). Do the wheels generally come with the dealer offered packages? The SE wheels? SEL wheels? I'm not sure if those even fit on the Sport. Anyways would like to hear what the northern folks used on their 15/16 Sport. Thanks!
akirby
Tireack.com has wheel and tire packages for comparison purposes.

Burrcold
I was more wondering what kind of OEM options the dealers offer as part of their winter wheel packages specifically for the Edge Sport. Do the SE/SEL 18's fit the Sport?
ONEDGE16
The Ford OEM winter package had the SE 18" rims with dunlop winter tires for 2016. EDIT: the below thread has additional info with pics of the sport with the SE 18" Rims Edited August 26, 2016 by ONEDGE16
Burrcold
Thanks I had a feeling it would be the SE rims. I wonder if you can upgrade to the SEL rims (look slightly better in my opinion). Sorry I must be missing something but I don't see the thread you're referencing. ONEDGE16
Here's the thread http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/18233-aftermarket-wheels-and-tires-for-winter/ I've tried to get the dealership to upgrade them to the SEL but they refused stating that Ford would not allow it an the SEL rims where way more expensive Edited August 26, 2016 by ONEDGE16
Burrcold
Great thanks! That's really annoying that they won't alloy you to get anything other than the SE rims. I might have to look at aftermarket if that's the case this year as well.
Burrcold
After looking at Tirerack.com I think I'm going to go for a 19 inch after market rim. Tires aren't that much more expensive and they look a whole lot better than the 18's especially on the Sport.
always on edge
I'm running stock 21" rims for winter. I bought the additional wheel protection so, if I accidentally run up a curb or hit a pot hole , the wheels are covered.
Burrcold
I ended up going aftermarket and got these in 19 inch (RTX Envy) with Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT tires.
NITEHAWK1224
I will using 18" steel rims, and Hankook winter tires.
