gjb89
Pulled the trigger on the exhaust system. I was able to find it on sale for $750 a lot better then the $930 I was seeing everywhere else. As of the moment I am very satisfied with it. I was able to get it on by myself in about a hour and half while using the car's jack. The exhaust produces a deeper sound now but It's not a lot louder. I'm sure that will change after I put some hours on it. Major thing I am pleased about it is I'm hearing zero rasp or drone. Hoping to get this tips to fit in the shrouds. We will see......

Nick Halstead
I've had the shroud off to do measurements when I first bought the edge

junehhan
Any pictures of the system? Is it a rear section exhaust or a full catback? I was surprised to learn that the Edge Sport comes with a true dual exhaust system stock.

junehhan
I have wondered what the logic of making only a FWD system was as I would wager that the fast majority of Edge sports on the market are AWD.

always on edge
Did you buy it off amazon and return it? No, purchased from Stage 3 Motorsports and returned. Magnaflow's website has been changed to reflect FWD only for that system and they've allegedly notified all vendors of such.

Magnaflow's website has been changed to reflect FWD only for that system and they've allegedly notified all vendors of such. I think Stage 3 had it wrong, cause I firmly recall Magnaflow's site stating FWD only, along with every AWD owner of FEWW talking about this constantly. There is a AWD rear muffler kit by MRP or someone...

cds71
Yes the MRT seems to be a nice system for awd.....looking at that one my self.....just waiting til the wife asks me what I want for christmas....LOL
Beezz
Too bad the price doesn't make sense, $559.99 USD for the MRT mufflers. Edited October 2, 2016 by Beezz
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Custom shops will have higher costs per unit, sadly. Some may be happy simply by deleting the mufflers. IDK for this particular application, but it sounds pretty good on others (all personal choice, of course). junehhan
On an SUV, you would not want to delete any mufflers. The drone would be absolutely insane. The reality is when you look at the purpose of the Edge Sport and who is buying these, there is a reason why there is not much available in the way of performance parts. Exhaust systems can really suck in SUV's because of the open cargo area. Based on this low demand, anyone else out there who does offer something will have to charge extra as they will not be able to recoup their investment costs by sheer volume. Nick Halstead
The reality is when you look at the purpose of the Edge Sport and who is buying these, there is a reason why there is not much available in the way of performance parts. the reason, as an Edge owner of 2 different generations is pretty simple. 99% of Edge owners drive around stock and the ones that want to mod, want to pay $100. for any part instead of paying what it's worth.
junehhan
Yup. The demand is just not there.

junehhan
It's a shame. These days in the age of cafe, factory exhaust systems are very efficient as they want to,extract every last horsepower and fuel economy possible. Therefore you really are doing it for sound versus the 2hp you might gain at 6500+ rpms. If this was a v8 there would be more interest and thus demand as v8's are very good sounding. Most GDI and GTDI V6 setups however are not very good sounding. Im fact, the F150's with exhausts on the 2.7 do not sound very pleasant. Therefore there is no real reason to buy an exhaust. The 3.5 ecoboost is a little better sounding.
